The Playboy Radio Morning Show appears every morning on Sirius Satellite Radio.  The show hosts Andrea Lowell and Kevin Kline “create an audio version of Playboy magazine” bringing many of the features of the landmark magazine to the airwaves.  They were kind enough to invite CEO & Inventor of Kush Support, Cathinka Chandler on the program.

The segment of the show that Cathinka appeared on is called Sexy Nymphomercials, where they highlight various products they have discovered on the web.  Of course, our great video (with over 1,125,000 views) and our lovely model caught their attention immediately!

It was so cool that they tweeted out the link to the video from their Twitter account @PBMorningShow. Andrea used the Kush Support live on the air, so that she could get a true feel of having the support between her breasts.  It seemed like there might have been a picture taken of her topless using the Kush, but we just haven’t been able to track down a copy of it!

After a complete review and commentary of the commercial, they bring on Cathinka to discuss the use of Kush Support for women with natural breasts, as well as those who have had breast augmentation.

Kevin shared some of his personal art direction for future commercials, and felt we should continue having more women rolling around in bed.  He wasn’t too excited about our pregnant model, but Cathinka correctly pointed out that we are partnered with Lamaze International, and the Kush Support offers comfort to women who are pregnant or nursing.

During the past few weeks we have had a tremendous (and we do mean tremendous) run of exposure from the distribution of our video content on YouTube.  In today’s Kush Report podcast, Cathinka talks with Joe Magennis about the results of a video going viral on YouTube and the number of exposures that can happen as the web encourages discovery.

Apparently after finding the video, a couple of DJ’s based out of radio station 97x in Iowa named Dwyer and Michaels cold called the office to discuss the Kush Support with Cathinka.

Since they are a part of the Cumulus Broadcasting network, the information about the interview and product video was spread throughout the country.  Since mid June, Cathinka has had one or two radio interviews per day.

Cathinka appeared on the Rod Ryan Show on July 2nd which can be heard on 94.5 The Buzz in Houston Texas.  Listen to the discussion as he talks to his co-host Theresa who tried out the product, and has Cathinka on the phone to provide information about materials, production and proper sizing.

Right in the hometown of Charlotte NC. New Rock 106.5 WEND fm , carries the Bob and Tom show which is syndicated across the country. We heard that they were discussing the product as well!

Based upon all of the radio exposure throughout the last couple of weeks, an MTV production called DJ & The Fro called to ask about using the video in a clip show that they air during the week.  They take a good natured poke at the models who appear in the video and provide their own animated commentary.  As you can see the toll free number and web site are prominent in the bottom panel of the video.

Looking at the Analytics from all of the various sources of distribution that we use for Kush Support, it is easy to see a natural chain of traffic volume; YouTube Channel, Facebook Page, Web Site and Blog all have seen a significant spike in visitors.  If you are doing any type of online marketing you must be placing your content wherever it might be discovered.

We have even found that the web site Gizmodo has linked to the video, which provides not only a large volume of traffic but also another set of comments that can be perused for insights into consumer reaction about Kush Support. At the time of this writing there are 114 comments on Gizmodo to go along with the 176 on YouTube, as well as on many other sites around the web.

As a followup to all of these exposures, we will be able to use the upcoming visit to the Playboy Mansion as a way to generate more video content which hopefully will be discovered and become a followup viral video for distribution across the web.

Finally, the exposure for Kush Support is spreading globally as the discovery online knows no boundaries. There are links from here , here, and here which at the very least which have delivered us traffic.

And our UK distributor Joanne Darbost has set up a web site for processing orders and distributing overseas. This helps to alleviate excessive shipping costs.

Finally, to make sure that you are getting your exposure on the web, keep making content available on all social networks and stick to it.  It might not get discovered overnight, but eventually discovery and exposure can come your way.

Today we are joined by journalist, graphic designer and marketer Luis Paredes from Seven Hills Graphic Design.  Cathinka met Luis during the Lingerie Americas Show in New York City and built up an excellent rapport as they discussed the challenges of growing a market for Kush Supports.

Recently, Luis was communicating with Cathinka as he was researching an article regarding the process of filing patent applications (Scroll down on the mcpetesez.com page for the article).  As Cathinka can attest, the process of navigating the intricacies of a patent application can be quite daunting.  It takes stamina, diligence and as Luis found out through his research, a valuable member of the team .. a good patent attorney. Cathinka points out that many have attempted to achieve a patent on their own but without a thorough knowledge of the system, opportunities can be overlooked and time can be wasted.

For some background on Luis, Seven Hills Graphic design is a full service agency focusing on the intimate apparel industry offering graphics and logo design, advertising creative, video services and web development work.  His niche specifically allows him to fully understand the market and to use his knowledge to help clients focus their marketing efforts. His background working in the production area of a trade publication in the lingerie industry, kick started his career in this market.

Luis had a great recommendation for future editions of The Kush Report, suggesting that we include intimate apparel retailers and discuss how they converse directly with customers and obtain feedback about Kush Supports.

Luis and Cathinka shared another product that has simultaneously gone through the patent process during the same time period as Kush Support called The Bra Bag. Both of these products will benefit from the protection afforded by successfully receiving a patent, along with generating marketing buzz and reaching the marketplace, calling attention to the unique attributes of the product.

Finally, Luis is really promoting the use of video to demonstrate unique products in the marketplace and reaching audiences through all web 2.0 tools.

Cathinka has returned from her efforts at The Southern Women’s Show in Charlotte.  The retail show provides the opportunity to showcase products specifically targeted towards women and allows the 15,000 to 16,000 attendees to make purchases directly at the booth.

The show attracted some celebrities including Andie McDowell plus some special appearances at the Kush Support booth from Miss United States Brittany Williams, and Mrs. America from the State of North Carolina Maureen MacDonald

Both pageant queens represented their organizations extremely well, and we were excited to have them appear in the booth.

We’re waiting to see the news segment that was recorded by the Charlotte Fox Affiliate who shot some video of the booth and Cathinka in action speaking with customers.  We hope to be able to link to the site when they have posted the video.

Emmy Awards creative has been posted to Shareasale looking to invite more affiliates to participate in the Kush Program.  We’ve seen some new signups since announcing the program, and hope to see additional growth as a revenue sharing source for the many bloggers who are targeting women audiences.

Kush is very proud to announce our latest partnership opportunity in joining with Lamaze International, appearing in the Educator Manuals that are sent out to the 5,500 Lamaze Childbirth Educators in the US.

Today Cathinka joins us as she makes her way through the busy streets of New York City on her way to the Javits Center for the Curve Expo.

Show Notes:

The uniqueness of the product, and the ability to demonstrate using a faux bed in the booth has attracted alot of great attention.

Cathinka considers the booth location to be one of the best on the show flow with steady traffic and high natural light.  She promises to get some pictures for this post.

The good neighbors in nearby booths have indicated that the lingerie market specifically has been seeing a downturn due to economy issue.  The product tends to be an impulse, non-essential purchase so has currently slacked off.  The Kush Support does not fall into that category and is incredibly beneficial to women with breast augmentations.

Actual customer testimonial is coming back from implant customers are stating that they have neck aches when they wake up due to the gravity pull while they sleep.  Specialty retailers are communicating with their customers hearing about the sleeping issues, and can benefit their customers by recommending Kush Supports.  This will enhance the retailers client relationships.

Pregnant models are roaming the floor in tops and thongs showing of a linerie line!  And a seven month pregnant super model got high praise on the the runway during the fashion show.
