This week on The Kush Report we get the privilege of talking with one of the long time users of a Kush Support, Lisa Barr.  We get to hear first hand about Lisa’s discovery of the product, her results, even her apprehensions about using the product .. all good information for us as we try to spread the word about the benefits of the product.

Lisa can be seen in our promotional videos talking about the initial challenges following her breast augmentation procedure, and the unexpected consequences of pain and discomfort as a result.  As is the case with any procedure in which there are muscular changes, pain during recovery as well as long term can result.  Lisa experienced ongoing sleep issues because she was unable to find a comfortable position at night.

Her sleep deprivation was also exacerbated by a car accident that left her with back and shoulder pains.

After pinpointing that her discomfort at night was caused by the changes in her body after her breast implants, Lisa went on a discovery process in which she was looking for something that would be considered a “cushion” or a bra, that might help keep proper position while resting.

She came across the Kush Support web site doing an online search and purchased one, with the perception of “i’ll try anything”. Even after receiving her delivery she still had an apprehension about the effectiveness of the product … which is a common challenge that we have from a marketing perspective.  We are trying to put the message forth that the more people we get to try the product and discover for themselves the more people who will realize the benefits.  We believe that many people live with the discomfort that comes from breast augmentation procedures and don’t fully realize that it can be resolved.

A great point that Lisa makes is about her attempts at finding a home remedy using various household items like towels, socks etc.. Many times in chat rooms and forums these are put forth as options, however Lisa has discovered that they do not stay in place and will not last for the length of time needed to overcome the discomfort.  Her Kush Support continues to provide relief.

Maybe we should do a chart with all of the different home remedies that have been tried and compare to the benefits that a Kush Support can overcome!

If you have had breast implants or a breast augmentation procedure in the past, we encourage you to try out the Kush Support to see if you have a better nights rest.  And if you have tried some home remedies to get more comfort, what have you tried?  We’d love to know so that we can help encourage others to go with a product that has proven to be successful.

This week on The Kush Report, CEO and Founder of Kush Co. Cathinka Chandler gets to announce a very special event that she will be attending on August 15 .. The Hot Summer Nights party at The Playboy Mansion in Los Angeles. Hot Summer Nights | Playboy Logo | The Kush Report.com

As you may remember we had launched a campaign targeting The Girls Next Door that unfortunately coincided with Hugh Hefner’s girlfriends Holly, Kendra and Bridget all moving out of the mansion, changing the concept of the show and taking a bit of wind out or our sails. However, we are still convinced that there is an opportunity to introduce Kush Supports to the actress and model community that congregates around Hollywood and will identify with the benefits of using a Kush Support.

Cathinka has secured a private cabana on the property, and has been assured that actress Traci Bingham will be on hand to assist in introducing the product to attendees.  There will also be a hostess at the cabana, plus silent auction and gift basket opportunities to get the product into the hands of guests at the Playboy Mansion.

Most importantly, this 3rd Annual event is a benefit for the United Breast Cancer Foundation, and we are closely aligned with Breast Cancer research at the University of Charlotte Medical center.

Having an event where a great opportunity exists to distribute information about the product, while supporting a great cause is the perfect Hot Summer Night!

There will be more conversation about the Playboy event in the weeks to come, and rest assured she has promised to take pictures including hopefully one with Hugh Hefner himself!

Discussing Liability for a New Product

Today on The Kush Report podcast we have a special guest to discuss the issues of product liability, particularly as it pertains to the process of bringing Kush Support to market. Our guest is Charlotte trial attorney, Jim Chandler.

Jim starts out by detailing the basic principal of product design or manufacture liability in which the burden of proof is on the person who is bringing to case to show negligence of the design and/or manufacturing process.

He also specifically recommends that early in the process, any entity planning on bringing a product to market should extensively research and acquire liability insurance.  Jim clearly states during the podcast that an inventor should carefully look for insurance beyond just the broker, but to get straight to the source of the plan.  Make sure to read what the exclusions to the policy are so that you know what the policy does not cover.

An interesting fact in the State of North Carolina is that six years from the date of sale, the statute of limitations (of statute of repose) expires and all rights to any claims for injury are lost. He actually details an accident that occurred in 1997 which occurred 6 years and 4 days after the sale, and the case was completely lost.

As the Kush Support was going through the early development stages, Jim had to look at anything inherent in the design or in the possible usage, with the intention of developing a warranty for the product.  His advice is to state the obvious facts about how to use the product and how to specifically maintain the product, which goes a long way to protect against the claim from someone who says they were not told how to use the product.

We point out that a common challenge for inventors is to reign in the enthusiasm for completing all of the stages of development before all of the legal hurdles have been cleared, and in the case of Kush Support coming to market there had to be a number of contractual points to be negotiated before charging ahead.  In fact, a simple element such as jurisdiction should be clarified and reviewed before executing an agreement.

In summary, the best approach to take while considering developing a product is to work closely with someone who has experience in legal and insurance matters to ensure protection against possible future harm.  At Kush Support, it was very much a top of mind awareness.

After a number of weeks with guests appearing on The Kush Report, we have decided this week to highlight some of the great affiliate tools that we have updated in our Shareasale Affiliate Program.

Anyone interested in participating in our program is encouraged to visit the Kush Support Merchant page for an introduction to the program including information about commission rates, tracking cookies, and EPC’s.

We have developed two videos and have uploaded them into the excellent ShareaSale Make-A-Video widget to assist affiliates in converting traffic.  We understand that there is considerable evidence that video converts … while many merchants have not taken the opportunity to develop the content.  We have two versions, one geared towards women with breast augmentation and the other towards natural breasts and pregnant / nursing mothers.

The categories of customers are also reflected in the banner categories that we have chosen. You can find banners targeting Enhancement, Breastfeeding, as well as special promotional banners such as Breast Cancer Awareness discount codes.

An example of the artwork is below:

Affiliate Banner | Kush Support.com

We are offering a promotion for all affiliates where the first 25 affiliates to generate a sale will receive a free Kush Support plus a travel bag that can be used for demonstration, promotions or giveaways.  We hope that all affiliates will take part!

The offer is also out there for any affiliates needing to have custom content such as a blog post, podcast or banner developed to assist in their marketing efforts should contact us to determine a strategy that will ensure the most conversions.

As a final topic of the podcast, we discuss the changes that have taken place on Facebook recently with the usual response that millions have voiced, much of the familiarity with navigation has disappeared. However the belief is that over time it will become easier.

The big change however is in the Facebook Pages which have now become more like the profile pages on the site, so that instead of having to be passive and hope that Facebook users discover the page and information being diseminated, the information can now be shared proactively by posting activity in the news feed.

We invite all Facebook users to visit the Kush Support Page.  Here you will find all the latest information about the product including the fact that new colors have been added to the line, expanding to Pink, Blue, Green and Purple to go along with the previous choices of Nude, Mocha and Ebony.

So calling all affiliates!  We would love to talk to you about our exciting program.

A Stylists Eye

We are joined on The Kush Report today by the photo stylist, Mireille Seger.  Mireille was on the set during each of the photo and video shoots Cathinka has conducted.  The photoshoots helped to create the excellent quality sales materials and web sites for presentation of the Kush Support product.

Starting out her career as a hair and makeup stylist, on the set she is now responsible for making sure that the models and the background of the photo look like the vision that the photographer and the client has in mind. She will look through the lens as well to get a sense of the photographer’s field of view.

During the Kush Support shoots, she felt that the atmosphere was very relaxing since the models were actually lying on a bed the entire time!  The challenge however was to keep the model’s hair and makeup looking good, without jeopardizing the intention of portraying the product as a night time sleep accessory.  As Mireille mentions, “we can’t have someone looking like they are going out to a club lying in the bed”.

Mireille will assist in choosing the appropriate wardrobe, props and accessories in the shoot such as nightgowns, teddies, linens and bedsheets in the Kush photoshoots. The challenge with these selections is to make sure that the product is the focus of the viewer and not distracted by the surroundings.

One distinction for Mireille during the setup for the photoshoots versus the video setup was concerns about the eye makeup. The models were depicting sleep during the photography, whereas during the live footage the entire prepping for bed process was displayed.

Another shot will be scheduled to include the new colors that have been added to the line including pastel pink, blue, green and purple.

Mireille can be reach at her email address mseger@carolina.rr(dot)com
